Bünzau at the bridge in Aukrug - Innien

The Bünzau is a right ( north ) side of the river sturgeon in Schleswig -Holstein.

The river has a length of 15.7 km, the difference in height is 10 meters. It arises north of Innien from the confluence of Buckener Au and Fuhlenau. The Bünzau is sandy Embossed lowland stream. Important tributaries are Höllenau and Bredenbek. Smaller tributaries are Burbek, Glasbek, Sellbek, Tönsbek, Wischbek and the chapel creek.

The Bünzau was navigable up to about 1870 for the then usual barges. This wood was from Bünzer port of Aukrug south to Sturgeon and advanced to the Elbe.
