Buraco

Buraco is a card game for 4 people from Venezuela ( and apparently is also known in Brazil). It is similar to Canasta; However, faster to an end, thanks to the Buracos (reserve cards you receive, as soon as one team has no more cards ).

Goal of the game, with the help of his sitting opposite partner by laying cards series, especially so-called cerrados can be reached ( a group of 7 cards), many points as possible.

Buraco is played with 4 sets of 52 cards plus 12 wild cards.

Deal cards

First, the donor can be determined. Each player draws a card from the deck. The player to the left of the winner ( with the highest card ) divides each of 11 cards to each player; the player to the right of the winner is 2 shocks, also with 11 cards and places them Buracos aside. The exact ( unique ) lifting the auszuteilenden cards (ie depending on 44 or 22) brings 100 points.

The remaining cards are (hidden) on the reserve pile.

The winner starts the game; In the following games change the tasks counterclockwise. The player who starts the game, the game can start the card you picked ( see Recording ) store when not fallen right back and instead take the next card.

The game

Record

At the beginning of each train, the player takes a card from the reserve pile or - if he has one for top card of the discard pile " matching " pair - all the cards, he must discard these 3 cards immediately.

Matching cards

Suitable means that either the number ( regardless of color ) is equal to or their color, and the numbers in a consecutive series ( Ace as One, Three, Four, ..., Ten, Jack, Queen, King, Ace - the two is wild and is therefore not in the row in front ).

Store

It can then new batch of " matching" cards (see above) store or create to existing stack (if you want - a possible tactic is to keep the cards in your hand to so may take up piles of discarded cards can ).

Each stack must contain at least 3 cards; one of which may be either a wild or a ( beliebigfarbige ) 2 ( the case to replace a card).

Other Rules

  • Each stack should be stored only a Joker or contain 2' - except when there is a stack of only jokers and / or 2'ern.
  • Contains a stack of seven cards, he is "closed" ( and taken off the table ). This is called cerrados ( = closed stacks) no jokers or 2's " clean " and those with "dirty". The game can only be completed if the team has at least one of these cerrados.
  • If a player has no cards (except Joker or 2's ) more, he takes the Buraco on ( a previously set aside reserve stack (one per team ) ). Then he can continue normal (ie, he is still on train when he has thrown no card).
  • If there is no Buraco more and the team has not yet Cerrado, a player can not discard his last card.
  • In a stack located Joker or 2's can be moved ( within the stack ), but not be resumed. This means: If you have for example a number of ♥ -5, 6 and Joker, you can move the Joker down ( will ♥ -4) and then a ♥ -3 invest but you can not put a ♥ -7 and for the Joker in his hand record ( but you can take the 7'er and the Joker becomes the 8'er or 4'er ).
  • A joker or 2's as the top card of the stack dropped can never be taken; even if the player has two cards of the same.

End of the train

Can / the player wants to discard any cards, he must be an ( unneeded ) drop card on the designated impact and the next player continues ( counterclockwise).

End of the game

The game ends when one team has at least one Cerrado has already started Buraco and then one of the team all his cards is going on (this can still be a card discarded to the discard pile, but need not ).

However, a team can not finish the game, if the team has begun a stack of only jokers and twos, but not closed.

Statement

If the game is finished, the score will be counted. Each Cerrado no jokers or 2' has 400 points ( usually 200); except that of the Aces - these bring 500 or 300 points. A Cerrado from Jokers and 2's are 1000 points; only with a 2'ern 2000; However, a non-closed Cerrado of jokers and 2'ern brings together 1000 minus points.

Other (each ) 100 points there are for receiving the Buraco and ending the game; 100 points will be deducted if the Buraco was not included. Do not forget to possible 100 points for handing out.

Finally, the points of the cards are taken into account: the cards at the table positive and the negative in his hand. A joker is worth 50 points, a 2' 25, an ace 20 cards up to 7 bring 5 points and the remaining about 10

The game ends when one team has more than 2000 points.
