Burgdorfer Aue at Hülptingsen

The Burgdorfer Aue is a left tributary of the Aller in Lower Saxony (Germany ). The name refers to the town of Burgdorf, north of Hanover. Until the 18th century the Burgdorfer Aue was a left tributary of the Fuhse.

Course

The Burgdorfer floodplain created by the confluence of several drainage ditches north of High Hameln. It takes its name from Equord the district of Peine. North of Mehrum it is passed in a culvert under the Mittelland Canal and then runs in a north -westerly direction, between the Hämeler forest in the east and the City Taught in the east. Here flows from left Lehrterstraße Bach. In henceforth northerly flow direction of the river stone Wedel passes and crosses into two arms, the town of Burgdorf. North of Obernhagen the Burgdorfer Aue branches in the Alte Aue flowing to the northeast and the north-facing New Aue, which performs the main volume of water. The New Aue swings south of Westercelle into the Fuhsekanal. The Alte Aue takes from the right to the thoese and is mentioned here only from Aue. North of Nienhagen led the floodplain on the left into the Fuhse, whereas it now from here as Fuhsekanal flows to the northwest and reunited at Celle- Wietzenbruch with the new floodplain. The Fuhsekanal has only at high tide combined with the Fuhse and then performs a part whose waters south-west to the town of Celle around. During normal water level of the Fuhsekanal acts solely as the lower reaches of Burgdorfer Aue and therefore leads like this one the waters code 485

Locations and naming relate to the altitude of the water, where all five heights meter is a sculpture. Their downstream increasing distances illustrate the typically decreasing gradient towards the lower reaches.
