Bürgl Hut

The Bürglhütte is a private refuge at 1699 m above sea level. A. in the Kitzbühel Alps in Stuhlfelden im Pinzgau ( Salzburg state ).

The former self-catering cottage has been partially stocked (about 20 beds and 25 mattresses ). It is located on the southern slopes of the Geißsteins ( 2363 m above sea level. A. ), 5 km north of Mittersill and 7 km east of Pass Thurn.

The refuge is located at the head of the valley of the Stuhlfeldener Mühltales, a southern side of the valley of the Salzach valley. The climb to the hut takes Stuhlfelden 2-3 hours on this path is in the summer, the access by bike or car to the hut possible. The access of Hinterglemm is a bit longer.

The cottage is an important base of the Pinzgauer walk, a popular High Route. The climb from here to the Geißstein ( 2363 m above sea level. A. ) takes about 2 hours.
