Burne Hogarth

Burne Hogarth ( born December 25, 1911 in Chicago, † January 28, 1996 in Paris) was an American comic book artist.

As the successor to Hal Foster, who drew the strip since 1928/29, he is considered the best Tarzan artist. The special version of its accounts for the great dynamism of the lines. Andreas C. Knigge sees in his style especially strong recourse to Expressionism.
