Burt Topper

Burt Topper ( born July 31, 1928 in Brooklyn, New York City, New York, USA, † April 3, 2007 in Los Angeles, California ) was an American film producer, film director, screenwriter and actor.

Life

Burt Topper moved at the age of 8 years with his parents to Los Angeles. During the Second World War he served in the U.S. Navy in the Philippines. To a large cinema, he came at the age of 30 years and had there in 1958 his directorial debut with Bright Squad. He has produced films for Sam Arkoff at American International Pictures. He is best known for the low-budget cult films rebels in leather jackets (1967) and Wild in the Streets (1968 ) which play in the youth milieu of the 1960s and their target group they were tailored.

Topper was in the credits as Burton Topper and B. Zarkoff.

Burt Topper died at the age of 78 of heart failure at Cedars -Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. He left behind his wife Jennifer and his sister. His final resting place is located on Mount Sinai Memorial Park in Los Angeles.
