Business & Information Systems Engineering

The BISE is a bimonthly, double - blind examined are scientific journal of the computer science industry. History

The electronic since 1959, published journal data processing was renamed in 1971 in applied computer science in 1989 in BISE, first vintage in 1990. Since issue 1/ 2009, it is also a one-to -one translation in the form of an English-language e-journals under the title Business & information Systems Engineering ( BISE ) issued.

With the aim of increasing international integration of economic computer science community to take into account and provide the explanation and design-oriented economy computer science research with a global platform, the BISE has been published since issue 1/2009 parallel and identical in content - in terms of a one-to -one translation - in German and English.

Contributions can be submitted in German and / or English. They are translated at acceptance in consultation with the authors and a team of translators in the other language and thus will always appear bilingually.

Characteristics

Professional profile and target group

The BISE published transferable original contributions in research and development results and to other application situations practical knowledge in the field of computer science economy. The aim is to theories, methods, tools and intersubjectively verifiable evidence on information and communication systems to win, to help the practice to solve IT problems ( better). Included are the areas of information management, applied computer science, business and economics, new media, and operations research, as far as modern information and communication technology concepts and implementations treated or explains the development of the information society or framed. Important peripheral areas are also covered, as far as the developments significantly affected in the area of ​​closer economic computer science. Examples include the effect of information and communication technologies on the economy, the individual and society and issues of education and training.

Publication

The BISE published annually in six editions, each about 70 pages. Some of the books is devoted to a specific topic.
