Busiris (Greek mythology)

Busiris (Greek Βούσιρις ) is an Egyptian king in Greek mythology. It occurs in the story of Heracles as a priest of Osiris, the god of the people sacrificed annually. He is the son of Poseidon and builders of Thebes. Busiris manages to overpower Hercules and capture to also sacrifice him to Osiris. But Heracles manages to tear his bonds and slew the Busiris along with his son Amphidamas.
