Butterscotch (performer)

Butterscotch (actually: Antoinette Clinton, born September 29, 1985 in Sacramento ) is known an American musician and especially for her beatboxing.

2005 won Butterscotch competition World Hip Hop Beatbox Woman's Championship. She had guest appearances on the group Peeping Tom and gave beatbox workshops. US-wide notoriety she gained as a participant in the talent show America's Got Talent in 2007 where she reached the third place. Here they presented pop and soul titles with beatbox deposits or only as a singer with the orchestra. In the following years she had solo performances at international jazz festivals where she accompanied herself on the piano or the guitar.

In 2012 she supported as a " guest star " Helge Schneider in five appearances and also appeared in his talk show Helge time. On April 12, 2013, it played with Max Mutzke, Simon Oslender and the WDR Big Band in Cologne's Philharmonie. On 19 May 2013, it met with guest star Magnus Lindgren, the saxophonist of Till Bronner, on the Jazz Time 2013 in Hildesheim.
