Magnus Lindgren

Magnus Lindgren ( born 1974 in Västerås) is a Swedish jazz saxophonist, flutist, composer and arranger.

Life and work

Lindgren began at age 13 to learn saxophone and attended music school in his hometown and the Royal Academy of Music in Stockholm. In 1992 he toured with the Peter Johannesson Quintet and Herbie Hancock. 1999, his debut album Way Out was nominated for a Swedish Grammy. The Grammy he won in 2001 for the big band album Paradise Open ( with the Swedish Radio Jazz Group ), which also received the Gyllene Skivan of Orkesterjounals.
