Byzantine Empire under the Heraclian dynasty

The so-called Herakleische dynasty set 610-695 and 705-711, the emperor in the Byzantine Empire and some Exarch of Carthage and Ravenna. The first recorded members of this dynasty was possibly originally from Armenia commander Heraclius the Elder, who began his career in the penultimate Roman- Persian War and later as Exarch of Carthage the usurper Phocas crashed.
