CA Bizertin

Club Athlétique Bizertin is a Tunisian football club Bizerta.

The club was founded in 1928. Venue is the stadium of the 15th October with 20,000 seats.

Club Athlétique Bizertin was the first Tunisian club, who won an African Cup for club teams: the 1988 Cup Winners' Cup. In addition, the previous four national championships and two cup victories were won. In the season 1991/1992, they lost the championship against Club Africain in a direct duel with a goal by Adel Sellimi in stoppage time of the last game day.

The club traditionally favors the younger players. These are usually lured by the top clubs Espérance Tunis, Club Africain and ES Sahel, mainly because the financial resources compared to the top clubs in the country and missing titles have failed lately. The fans of the club, however, are known to be even in bad times behind the club, which also applies to the special position of the association, as in northern Tunisia, the CAB has a long -rooted and traditional history. Club Athlétique Bizertin or just simply " CAB" is called by his own fans " Requins du Nord ", which literally means " sharks of the north".
