Cabinet ErdoÄŸan III

The Cabinet Erdoğan III officiated since July 6, 2011 as the 61st Government of the Republic of Turkey ( Türkiye Hükûmeti 61 ). Recep Tayyip Erdogan formed the Cabinet after the parliamentary elections in Turkey on 12 June 2011 at the ACP won 327 of the 550 parliamentary seats. It was his third victory in a row ( after the 2002 elections, the Cabinet Erdoğan I, after the 2007 elections, the Cabinet Erdoğan II was formed ). Cabinet reshuffles took place on 24 January and on 25 December 2013.

All cabinet ministers are members of the party, the AKP.

Erdoğan missed the envisioned two- thirds majority to change the constitution alone can (which he missed even at the elections of 2002 and 2007, probably has the ACP since 2002, a majority of parliamentary seats).

On 17 December 2013, gave out raids and arrests of dozens of suspects. Since then, a corruption scandal shakes Turkey. During the investigation it is, among other reasons, whether on payment of bribes undermine sanctions against Iran and illegal building permits were issued. Erdogan has called the investigation " dirty operation " against his government; there backers at home and abroad.

As part of this scandal of economic, internal, environmental and EU ministers came under suspicion of corruption, of which the former offered three of her resignation. Then, Erdoğan took place ending 25 December 2013 reshuffle of the Cabinet at the ten ministers were replaced.

The government also had 500 high-ranking police dismiss him ( including the police chief of Istanbul), apparently to impede the investigation or arrest. A Turkish prosecutor complained on 26 December that he had been prevented from expanding the government circles concerned corruption investigations. He also indicated systematic pressure from the police to the judiciary.
