Cabinet Kraft I

The Cabinet power, I denotes the July 15, 2010 Reigning until June 21, 2012 state government of North Rhine -Westphalia. The Social Democratic Party and the Alliance 90/The Greens party formed after the state elections in 2010 a minority government, which could be based on no own parliamentary majority. The Cabinet of Prime Minister Hannelore Kraft therefore worked for the passage of laws with changing majorities.

On 14 March 2012, the draft budget of the Cabinet was rejected by the majority of Members of Parliament. Consequently, announced the strength to want to bring about new elections. On the same day the parliament of North Rhine -Westphalia unanimously decided to dissolve itself. The election took place on 13 May 2012.
