Cabinet Kraft II

The Cabinet force II denotes the incumbent state government of North Rhine -Westphalia under the Prime Minister Hannelore Kraft. The Social Democratic Party and the Alliance 90/The Greens aspired to the early elections to the continuation of the red-green coalition (Cabinet force I).

On 12 June 2012 made the party and heads of factions before the coalition agreement, which was adopted on 15 June of party congresses of both coalition partners.

On June 20, Hannelore Kraft was elected by Parliament by 137 votes to the Prime Minister. So you got nine votes more than the red-green coalition holding of seats in Parliament. Several Members of the Pirate Party in the parliament had announced to vote for power.

In the run only the green members of the government counterpart had been announced, the composition of the entire cabinet was made on June 21, 2012 the first cabinet there were hardly any changes.; the former Ministry of Economic Affairs, Energy, Building, Housing and Transport was split into two ministries. Their ministers, Garrelt Duin and Michael Groschek, were also the only new additions to the Cabinet. The former Minister of Economic Affairs, Energy, Building, Housing and Transport Voigt Harry Berger had on June 19, announced he would no longer want to be members of the new cabinet.

The Secretary of the Interior and items for integration remained unoccupied for several months, which was criticized among others by the Christian Democrat Lutz Lienenkämper. According to the State Chancellery one wanted to leave when deciding on the new appointment time. On December 17, 2013, three new secretaries were appointed, in addition to the vacant post, the office of the Secretary of State in the Ministry of Health was re- occupied.
