Cabletron Systems

Cabletron Systems was a major U.S. network equipment.

The company in 1983 in Massachusetts by Craig Benson ( who later became governor of New Hampshire ) and Robert Levine was founded. The company moved to Rochester (New Hampshire) and employed 6,600 people at times. She introduced network equipment such as routers and switches ago. In 1997 she bought the network section of the company DEC.

When the competition, such as Cisco and 3Com, was too large, one made in February 2000, the following subsidiaries and which acts as the holding company: Enterasys Networks, Riverstone Networks, Aprisma Management Technologies and Global Network Technology Services.
