Caird Coast

The Caird Coast is a coastal Antarctic Weddell Sea on the south of the Brunt Ice Shelf with Halley Station. It is part of Coats Land.

Ernest Shackleton in 1914 named the coast during the British Endurance expedition to the Scottish entrepreneur Sir James Key Caird ( 1837-1916 ), who had sponsored as a major financier of the expedition with £ 24,000.
