Cairo Tower

The Cairo Tower (Arabic: برج القاهرة Burj al - Qāhira, Egyptian Arabic el- Burg Qāhira ) is a 187 -meter high TV tower in solid construction, reminiscent in its design of lotus flowers. The Cairo Tower was completed in 1961 by 500 workers on the Nile island of Gezira and has three levels an open to the public observation deck, a cafe and a rotating restaurant. The diameter of the tower shaft is 14 meters. The peculiarity of the Cairo Tower is that it consists of plain concrete without steel skeleton and so is the tallest structure, which consists of pure concrete.
