Caitlin Rose

Caitlin Elizabeth Rose ( born June 23, 1987 in Dallas, Texas) is an American alternative country musician.

Career

Caitlin Rose is the daughter of Liz and Johnny B. Rose, working as a songwriter and as a manager in country music. With seven she came to Nashville and ten years old her parents divorced. She attended high school and enrolled with 16 her first punk rock song, before she began to be interested in gradually for country music.

Rose was on his way as a singer -songwriter under the name Save Macaulay long and occurred in the bars and clubs of Nashville. Shortly before their first release, the name was abandoned and Caitlin Rose brought the planned EP for the label Theory 8 in early 2008 under her own name out. Five of the titles contained on she herself had written, two more were cover versions, including the coming of the Rolling Stones song title. Her solo career, she also supported by appearances, such as support of Lori McKenna, who had celebrated her breakthrough in 2007 and worked for her mother as a songwriter.

The label names published Dead Flowers to the UK market and produced her debut album Own Side Now. It was published in 2010 in the UK and arrived there in the advanced charts at number 89 Except for one cover version (That's Alright by Fleetwood Mac) came back all songs of her own The editors of the German edition of the music magazine Rolling Stone chose the plate in " The best albums of 2010 " by Time magazine put it in the U.S. the following year at No. 7, still remained the LP in the U.S. largely unsuccessful.

The following year, Rose moved to New York label ATO Records. In one and a half years they produced, among other things, again with musician and producer Skylar Wilson, her second album. In early March 2013 The Stand- In was released and reached number 54 of the official UK charts.
