Caldwell is the capital of Canyon County in the U.S. state of Idaho. The city is one of the fastest growing small cities in the United States, the population has increased by nearly 80 percent in just 10 years (2000 to 2010).

The city with its 46 237 inhabitants ( 2010) located near the Boise River, right in the fertile (mainly irrigation ) Treasure Valley, a part of the Snake River Plain.

In Caldwell to live mainly from agriculture (one of the most efficient production of agricultural products of the United States), the proximity to Boise, capital of Idaho, and tourism. So the environment is suited to the Lake Lowell and the surrounding mountains wonderful for walking, climbing or rafting tours.

The College of Idaho, a private university with about 1,000 students, is centrally located in Caldwell. In 2010 Princeton Review College has been awarded due to its high proportion of international students.
