California Victory

California Victory is a former football club from San Francisco (USA). The club was founded in 2006 and plays in 2007 his first and only season in the USL First Division, the second- highest division in the North American Football.

History

On 12 October 2006 USL President Francisco Marcos announced that Dmity Piterman, president of the Spanish club Deportivo Alaves has acquired the rights to a new club. This California Victory will be the first USL1 Club, which is owned by a European. In addition, the club was the first club in California in the USL since the end of Clubs San Diego Flash 2001.

Its home games wearing the club from the Kezar Stadium. In this stadium, the American football team the Oakland Raiders and San Francisco 49ers have already played. First coach was Glenn van Straatum from Surinam.

The name " Victory" (English: "Victory " ) comes from the Spanish city of Vitoria- Gasteiz, the hometown of Deportivo Alaves.

In September 2007, Deportivo declared its withdrawal from the association. Since then, no longer takes part in the California Victory game mode.
