The Calore Irpino is a river in southwestern Italy.

Geography

The river rises near the town of Montella in southern Italy. Montella is located in the province of Avellino. Later he initially flows in a northerly direction. He crosses the communes of Castelfranci, San Mango sul Calore, Taurasi, Paternopoli, Montemarano and sul Calore Castelvetere. After 43 km of the river is in the province of Benevento, now flows past in an easterly direction to the village Apice and crosses the provincial capital of Benevento. Here, the river unites with the Sabato. Now the Calore Irpino wierder flows northward to the municipality of Ponte, and then again to change its direction of flow to the east. After 92 km of the river then the Volturno achieved.
