Camilla Brunelli

Camilla Brunelli ( born March 30, 1957 in Florence) is an Italian, grew up bilingual historian and specialist in German. Since 2002 she has been director of the Museo della Deportazione in the Italian city of Prato.

Life

As the daughter of former foreign correspondent of the Italian daily newspaper Corriere della Sera pulled Brunelli in 1960 with her family to Bonn. After graduating from the Nicolaus Cusanus - Gymnasium in Bonn-Bad Godesberg, she studied at the University of Florence History and German.

From 1988 to 1995 worked Brunelli et al at the Austrian Consulate Florence from 1990 to 2007 in response as a simultaneous interpreter for the public television RAI. Since 1984 she is also active in Prato and the Austrian municipality of Ebensee in the common twinning. They also collaborated several times with the Berlin-based Topography of Terror Foundation.

Since 2002, Brunelli is the director of the Museo della Deportazione in the Tuscan town of Prato. She is an expert in the European culture of remembrance.
