Camilo Mayr

Camilo Mayr ( * March 4, 1991 in Bogotá ) is a German archer in Olympic discipline recurve bow.

Camilo Mayr studied biophysics at the Humboldt University in Berlin. He is a native Colombian who was adopted by his parents, a Colombian and a German. The B- National Squad athlete will be trained by Oliver Haidn and launched until 2013 for the Archers Welzheim, he then joined gun club Querum. He was initially successful as a junior. At the European Championships 2010 in Winnenden, he won the bronze medal with the team. In 2005 he won the title at the German Indoor Championships for Juniors, he also was in 2003 in the hall and 2004 and at the 2006 outdoor championships third parties.

Since 2012, Mayr starts at the men in the power range. At the European Championships in Amsterdam, he was with Florian Floto and Sebastian tube Mountain eighth in the team competition and 17th of Single Page. At the World Cup in Ogden he came up with the German team to third place. Although he missed the direct qualification for the Olympic Games in London, he benefited from the return of a quota place by Israel, and came as substitutes in the Olympic field. National was five times so far Mayr 's singles champion, the 2009/10 team champion and 2008 champion in the Bundesliga.
