Campo Argentino de Polo

The Campo Argentino de Polo, colloquially known as " La Catedral del Polo" (Polo Cathedral), is a stadium in Buenos Aires ( Argentina), which is mainly used for polo, Pato and hockey. 1978 there the Hockey World Cup was held.

The stadium is located in the Palermo district on Avenida del Libertador and Avenida Dorrego. Opposite is the Racecourse of Buenos Aires, the Hipódromo Argentino de Palermo. The stadium was opened in 1928 and consists of two squares, Canchas, visit their stands up to 15,000 spectators. Every year the polo tournament Copa República Argentina and in November / December, the Argentine Open Polo Championship take place there in March / April.
