Canadian Federation of Engineering Students

The Canadian Federation of Engineering Students ( CFES abbreviated ) is the national association of engineering students, who collectively represent over 51,000 technical students in Canada. The association was founded on the one hand, to combine technical students about the limits of their universities addition, on the other hand, to the appearance of the technical students to strengthen the public. Associations of the members can be found across Canada and are divided into the following four regions: West, Ontario, Quebec and Atlantic.

A major concern of CFES is to strengthen technical students academically, socially and financially. This is accomplished by being able to exchange ideas and information between the various member associations. This is achieved through projects in the engineering field and by exposing the achievements and talents of the students.

The annual meeting of the Association, the CFES Congress, provides technical students from across Canada an opportunity to meet, discuss important topics and to decide on the future direction and activities of CFES. The Congress is organized every January from another university in another city in Canada.

CFES also organizes other activities, such as:

Canadian Engineering Competition - an example of what excellence can provide students specializing in technical skills and soft skills. Additional information (and pictures and a video ) is available on the CEC website. The Project Magazine, a national magazine by and for technical students from Canada, which appears three times a year. Higher Education - for example, academic summer courses, technical students provide insights and knowledge in areas that go beyond the regular study and where you can meet new people.
