Candy Candido

Candy Candido (born 25 December 1913 in New Orleans, † 19 May 1999 Burbank, California; actually Jonathan Joseph Candido ) was an American comedian and actor who is best known as the voice of various cartoon characters.

Life

Candy Candido had an unusually distinctive voice, with which he could speak extremely highly but also extremely deep. This talent helped him to a career as a radio comedian. He was known for his standing saying I'm feelin ' mighty low, with Jimmy Durante he even took a song with this title. He also appeared as a singer and bass player in Ted Fioritos Orchestra. In the film Roberta he sang a duet with Fred Astaire in 1935. 1960 Bud Abbott Candido tour comedy partner in its comeback attempt.

Candido borrowed hundreds of cartoon characters (especially for Walt Disney movies ) his voice (usually he was not listed in the credits ). His most famous roles are the Indian chief in Peter Pan, the crocodile in Robin Hood and the bat gripper in Basil, the Great Mouse Detective ( The Great Mouse Detective ). He also worked for Chuck Jones and Ralph Bakshi.
