Canons Regular

As Canons Regular, also regulated canons ( canons' is a synonym for canon ), refers to the members of a collegiate, who live by a monastic rule, possess the priesthood and religious vows have passed, but are not monks. In the Rule is usually one of two rules of hl. Augustine of Hippo, the ordo novus ordo or antiquus.

They differ from Säkularkanonikern, which are also canons, to have but placed without a religious vows.
