Canton of Châtellerault-Ouest
The Canton Chatellerault -Ouest is a French administrative unit in the arrondissement of Chatellerault in Vienne and the Poitou-Charentes region; its chief town is Chatellerault. His representative in the Regional Council since 2011 Michel Guérin (PS).
Geography
The canton is located in the north of the department of Vienne. In the west it borders the cantons of Chatellerault Chatellerault -Nord and Sud, in the north to the Canton Dangé -Saint- Romain, in the east to the Canton Pleumartin and on the south by the Canton Vouneuil -sur -Vienne. He is on average 74 meters above sea level, between 42 m and 166 m in Chatellerault in Thuré.

The canton consists of parts of the city Chatellerault and the communities Colombiers and Thuré.
