Canton of Rebais

The Canton Rebais is a French administrative unit in the arrondissement of Provins, in the Seine -et -Marne in the Île- de -France region; its chief town is Rebais. Representative of the General Council of the department since 2004, Anne Chain Larché (UMP ).

In the course of an administrative territorial reform of Canton Rebais changed with effect on 1 January 2006 from the Arrondissement Meaux for Arrondissement Provins.

Geography

The Canton Rebais is 19,887 acres ( 198.87 km ²) in size and has (2006) 13,087 inhabitants, which corresponds to a population density of 66 inhabitants per km ².
