Cape Kidnappers

Cape Kidnappers is a headland at the south-eastern tip of Hawke Bay on the east coast of the North Island of New Zealand. It is about 20 km from the city of Napier.

The Cape forms the end of a 8 km long peninsula in the Pacific. It got its name in 1769 due to the trial of local Māori to kidnap a crew member of James Cook.

On the cape there is a large gannet colony and a golf course.
