The Arturo Prat Station is a Chilean Antarctic station on Greenwich Island.

On November 6, 1940, the government of Chile decided to lay claim to part of Antarctica from 53 to 90 degrees latitude. Thus, the first Chilean Antarctic station " Arturo Prat " was established on February 6, 1947. Arturo Prat was a Chilean naval hero who fell in Salpeter, 1879. The station was at the beginning of two buildings for a maximum of 18 people. Today can stay at the naval station about 40 people.
