Capuanus (crater)

Capuanus is an impact crater in southwestern lunar front side, on the southern edge of Palus Epidemiarum, south of the crater Mercator and west of Cichus. The rim is heavily eroded and flooded the interior of lava.

The crater was officially named by the IAU in 1935 after the Italian astronomer Francesco Capuano di Manfredonia.
