Car Bomb (band)

Car Bomb is an American metal band from New York, whose music is hard to classify into previously defined musical categories. The music is atonal and to a large extent, as might be more likely in contemporary classical music is usual, tempo variations, complicated rhythms and collective agogics.

History

The members of the Car Bomb met the first time around 2000, when Greg Kubaki and Michael Dafferner who previously played in the metal and hardcore punk band Neck you a sample space under the Rockville Centre in New York with Elliot Hoffman and Jon model the band Spooge shared. Over time, a great friendship between the bands developed. In 2002, the model, who was not satisfied with his previous works decided to do with Kubaki and Dafferner in a side project music. For this project was the time a real band Car Bomb. In 2004 they started with serious photography. The debut album Centralia, named for the abandoned town in Pennsylvania, was released on February 6, 2007 on Relapse Records.

Some time ago, the band released the song ' bracket ' on their Myspace profile, which was then not included in the album Centralia.

In 2009, together with the bands Gojira and The Chariot on tour.

In September 2012, the new album w ^ w ^ ^ w ^ w was published.

Style

Car Bomb is an incredibly talented band that manages to map even the finest details in their intense music. The music is partly comparable to the music of bands like Meshuggah and The Dillinger Escape Plan, however, is ultimately something new. The album Centralia acts as a unified whole and offers the listener a very dense and supporting atmosphere.
