Cara Buono

Cara Buono (* March 1, 1974 in Bronx, New York City ) is an American actress.

Life

Buono grew up on a working-class family in New York City the Bronx as one of four children. To acting, she came across an audition for Harvey Fiersteins stage play Spook House. Her first television appearances was the 1.65m great actress in the series Dream Street (1989) and CBS School Break Special ( 1991). At this time, Buono also began her studies at Columbia University, after three years she made in 1993 a degree in English and political science. In the following years she had supporting roles in several films, including Let's see The Cowboy Way (1994) and Hulk ( 2003), as well as guest roles in numerous series. Besides Buono also played some key roles in independent films such as Red River (1998) and Attention Shoppers ( 2000).

2004 Buono landed a starring role in the sixth and final season of Third Watch - use the limit as Paramedic Grace Foster. Subsequently, she was seen in the sixth season of The Sopranos as Kelli Moltisanti and in the sixth season of The Dead Zone (2007) as Sheriff Anna Turner. For her guest role as Faye Miller in the fourth season of the series Mad Men Buono was nominated for a 2011 Primetime Emmy. Most recently, she has guest starred on the series Castle and The Good Wife.

Even behind the camera Buono had already worked: In 1997, she wrote the short film Baggage and also introduced the director, actors in the film were, among others, Minnie Driver and Liev Schreiber. In addition, she was co-producer of the romantic comedy Two Ninas (2001), in which they themselves also played a minor role.

The actress is married to Peter Thum Since July 2009, a social entrepreneur and founder of Ethos Water.
