Carapicuiba is one of the most populous towns and one of the smallest towns in the Brazilian state of São Paulo. In 2006 lived in Carapicuiba 389 634 people to 35 km ²; which means a population density of 11,141.95 / km ². Until 1964 the town was part of the north western city of Barueri, from which it made ​​itself independent.
