Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University in Warsaw

The Cardinal Stefan Wyszynski University in Warsaw - (Polish: Uniwersytet Stefana Kardynała Wyszyńskiego w Warszawie ) is a Cardinal Stefan Wyszynski University named after Warsaw.

For the establishment of the University in Warsaw on 22 September 1999 a law by the Polish Parliament, the Sejm, adopted and proclaimed by the President of the Republic of Poland on 30 September 1999. On 29 September 1999 the archbishops of Warsaw was to an agreement between the Government of the Republic of Poland and the Conference of Bishops of Poland on the legal status of the Church, the sciences and faculties of the University in accordance with the Concordat concluded in the palace.

Rector of the University from 2005 to 2010 was Ryszard Rumianek. Grand Chancellor of the University of Archbishop Kazimierz Nycz is.
