Carey Foster

George Carey Foster ( born October 20, 1835 in Sabden, Ribble Valley, Lancashire, † February 9, 1919 in Rickmansworth ) was an English physicist.

After the B. A. was graduated, he became in 1862 professor of physics at Anderson 's University in Glasgow. From 1865 to 1891 he was at University College London. He worked in the field of electricity and magnetism. He was elected in 1869 as a member of the Royal Society and was a member of the Chemical Society.
