Carina Burman

Carina Burman ( born 1960 ) is a Swedish writer and literary scholar.

Life and work

Carina Burman studied history, comparative literature, English and Scandinavian languages ​​and wrote her thesis on the living in the 17th century poet Johan Henrik Kellgren. Burman worked as a lecturer in literature at the University of Uppsala.

A supplement of the dissertation is published their 1993 historical novel Min Salig bror Jean Hendrich ( My late brother Jean Hendrich ). She has received numerous awards and honors and is a member of the Bellman Society, the Kungliga Vetenskapssamhället in Uppsala, of Clare College, Cambridge and a corresponding member of the Society of Swedish Literature in Finland.

Burman lives in Stockholm. She is married to the literary critic Lars Burman since 1983. The couple has three children.
