Caritas Internationalis is the association of 165 national Caritas organizations. These Charities of the Roman Catholic Church are active in more than 200 countries in emergency assistance, development aid and social services. Members include the German Caritas Association, Caritas Austria and Caritas Switzerland.
Seat and agencies
Caritas Internationalis has its headquarters in Vatican City and has offices at the United Nations in New York City, in Geneva, Rome and Paris.
1951, the Confederacy was set up in their now existing structural form with already 13 member organizations. In 1957 she received the name of Caritas Internationalis. Caritas Internationalis is a part of the Catholic Church, but all helping people regardless of their creed.
