Carl Koch (director)

Carl Koch ( born July 30, 1892 in Nümbrecht, † December 1, 1963 in Barnet ) was a German film director and screenwriter.

Koch worked in various positions ( assistant director, manager, animator and cinematographer ) on the animated films his wife Lotte Reiniger. After two Real films as a director at the beginning of the 1930s, emigrated pacifist, who had fought in World War I as a captain of artillery, and was obliged to France by Jean Renoir as an assistant. Under the name of Carlo Koch 1940 and 1942 he made two films in Italy. In 1949 he settled with his wife in the UK.
