Carl Stenborg

Carl STENBORG (* September 25, 1752 in Stockholm; † August 1, 1813 in Djurgården ) was a Swedish composer.

The son of actor Petter STENBORG was first officer in the civil service. From 1773 to 1806 he worked at the Royal Opera in Stockholm, where he sought the introduction of the Opéra -Comique and the Singspiel in Swedish.

In addition to incidental music he composed several stage plays, including the first Singspiel Swedish Gustaf Ericsson i Dalarna.
