Carlo Buti

Carlo Giuseppe Eugenio Buti ( born November 14, 1902 in Florence, † November 16, 1963 in Montelupo Fiorentino ) was an Italian singer.

Biography

From a young age Carlo Buti was famous for his style of interpretation. After studying classical music at Raoul Frazzi, who later Gino Bechi taught, he began to sing in the EIAR (later RAI).

He debuted with Neapolitan songs, but had only with the romantic songs Portami aunt rose ( Bixio - Galdieri ) and Violino tzigano ( Bixio ) greater success.

In 1930 he received a contract with Edison Records in 1934, he moved to the record company Columbia.

Unlike many singers of that era Buti used a style of the traditional songs came close more than the classical music of the opera arias. This particular style is attributable in particular to its success. He finished his career in 1956 and had recorded more than 1,500 songs during this time.
