Carlos Takam

Armand Carlos Nesting Takam (December 6, 1980 in Douala ) is a heavyweight boxer from Cameroon who participated in the 2004 Olympic Games.

Amateur

His biggest success as an amateur, he celebrated in 2003 with the title at the African Championships in Yaounde, in taking place in the same year, All- Africa Games in Abuja, he took a third place.

In January 2004, he earned a victory in the African qualifying tournament in Casablanca the right to take part in the Summer Olympic Games in Athens. He retired in the super heavyweight class, however, already in the first fight from, he was subject to later Silbermedaillisten Mohamed Aly from Egypt on points.

Professional

2005 moved Takam in the professional camp and is in France with Michel Acaries under contract. He lost to meaningless building battles against his first undefeated opponent Gregory Tony ( 10-0 ), but could at least knock some well-known veterans like Gbenga Oloukun, Francois Botha and Michael Grant.
