Carpark North

Carpark North is a Danish Synth Rock-/Elektropop-Band consisting of Lau Højen (guitar, vocals), Søren Balsner (bass, synthesizers ) and Morten Thorhauge (drums).

Biography

With their debut album, Carpark North (2003), they gave the Danish electro pop to life. The album was very successful, sold in Denmark alone over 50,000 times and reached platinum status. The album was produced by Joshua, also known as Jon Schumann, who had already produced for Kashmir and Mew.

Her second album, All Things to All People, which was released after a long pause no signs of life from the band in 2005, was also very successful. In 2006, the band for the video for her hit single human, a rocking up-tempo number, as the "Best Danish Video" at the Danish Music Awards. Director of the video was Martin de Turah.

Their third album, Grateful appeared in September 2008, is currently in Germany, however, not available.

In spring and summer 2010, the band played the opening act for 30 Seconds to Mars, followed by appearances at Rock am Ring and Rock im Park.

On September 3, was released in 2010 the new album Lost, which was composed of songs from the two previous Grateful and All Things to All People in Germany. As a single, the song Just Human was decoupled, which is apparently a slightly modified re-recording of the song is Human, which was published in 2005 as a single.
