Carsten Wolters

Carsten " Erle " Wolters ( born July 25, 1969 in Gelsenkirchen ) is a German football player.

Career

Carsten " Erle " Wolters plays since 1996 for MSV Duisburg. The defender joined 1996 free transfer from Borussia Dortmund to the Wedau. Past Players stations were the amateurs of Wattenscheid 09 ( up to 1992/ 1993) and Wattenscheid 09 (up to the 1995/1996 season ). A transfer to FC Schalke 04 failed due to the high demand release of Wattenscheid.

In the Duisburg fans he enjoys biggest sympathies. He is celebrated as " Duisburg monument". On the final day of the 2006/07 season Wolters was celebrated by fans in a choreography. On the König-Pilsener- Tribune (North Curve ) hung a banner reading " alder, forever one of us" and also a portrait of the player.

In the 2007 /08 season Wolters was active for the second team of zebras as a player and assistant coach.

After the career

From 2008 to 2011 Carsten Wolters was head coach of the MSV -17 youth. Since the 2011/12 season he has been head coach of Duisburg U19 Youth.

Since the 2009/10 season Wolters plays for the district division club SV Höntrop in 1916, with whom he 2011 the rise in the national league Westphalia managed.

Remarkable

As a representative of the players of the 2nd Bundesliga, Wolters sat temporarily in the gamers council of the Association of Contract football players ( VdV ).

Since 2007, Wolters is the official patron of the charitable zebra kids eV, which has made it its mission to enable underprivileged children to attend the home games of MSV Duisburg.

Wolters continues to live in Gelsenkirchen.
