Caryn Kadavy

Caryn Kadavy Jami ( born December 9, 1967 in Erie, Pennsylvania) is a former American figure skater who started in a single run.

Kadavy reached 1985-1988 the podium at the U.S. championships, but has never been champion. In 1986 she took part in her first world championship and was eighth. A year later she was able to win bronze behind Katarina Witt and Debi Thomas countrywoman a world championship medal at the World Championships in Cincinnati. It should be their only medal, because in their last World Cup a year later, she took seventh place. In 1988, she played in Calgary their single Olympics. After duty and short program located at number six, she was forced to retire due to illness before the long program. Kadavy trained with Carlo Fassi in the Broadmoor Skating Club and prior to the 1987/88 season for a short time at Toller Cranston.

After the end of her amateur career, she moved in 1988 to the pros and was regularly seen in the nineties and the beginning of the following decade in ice revues. She is now employed as a trainer in her home town of Erie.
