Cascade Locks is a small town in Hood River County in northern Oregon. Originally a few tree trunks were posted here in order to improve navigation on the Columbia to the Cascades Rapids. The lock was completed on November 5, 1896. The weirs were gradually merged in 1938, but eventually replaced by the Bonneville Dam. Has named after the weirs place today 1,055 inhabitants and 427 households on an area of 7.7 km ².

Cascade Locks is located upstream of the Bridge of the Gods, a toll great bridge over the Columbia, the only between Portland and Hood River. Through the village runs Interstate 84

Cascade Locks is located on the Pacific Crest Trail (PCT ), where the Columbia is crossed; while the place is the lowest on this path between Mexico and Canada.
