Casey Stoney

Casey Jean Stoney (born 13 May 1982) is an English footballer. The defensive player is in the Lincoln Ladies under contract and is currently captain of the England team of women.

Stoney debuted in 2002 for Charlton Athletic in the FA Women's Premier League. With Charlton they won the 2005 FA Women's Cup and the League Cup in 2004 and 2006. After Charlton 2007 his wife team disbanded in controversial circumstances, Stoney moved to Chelsea. Since 2011 she plays for Lincoln Ladies.

In August 2000 Stoney debuted in the England national team in a match against France. She took part in the European Championships in 2005 and 2009 and at the 2007 World Championships. At the 2011 World Championships she also took part. She came to four inserts in the World Cup in Germany and has now along with four other players with eight championship stakes played the most World Cup matches for England's women.

On March 4, she made as part of the Cyprus Cup in the 0-3 defeat against France her 100th international game.

Stoney was captain of the British football team of women who in 2012 took part in the Olympics and was eliminated in the quarter- final against Canada.

2013 she won the Cyprus Cup with England and was in the squad for the European Championship 2013., Where they came in all three group games used different with their team but already after the first round of. Stoney lives openly lesbian in London.
