Cassie Ventura

Cassie (actually, Cassie Ventura, born August 26, 1986 in New London, Connecticut) is an American Contemporary R & B singer, dancer and model.

Biography

Cassie was born on August 26, 1986 in New London, Connecticut, the daughter of a Filipino father and an African- American- Mexican mother. In 2004 she graduated from the Williams School on the Connecticut College and has since worked mainly as a model for the Wilhelmina modeling agency. During this time she was standing among other things, for Adidas, the Complex magazine and Abercrombie & Fitch in front of the lens. They also modeled for department stores and the magazine Seventeen.

Her musical talent was discovered fortuitously. When her mother Cassie asked her to give her a song of her on her birthday, she met with producer and rapper Ryan Leslie, whom she had recently met. Together they recorded the song Kiss Me, which Leslie later to Tommy Mottola, the chairman of Sony, passed it. Mottola was pleased with the material and asked Leslie to the production of Cassie's debut album. A short time later, Diddy decided to take the model at Bad Boy Records.

In the following months, Cassie was invited to Germany to promote her song Me & U. Once this had been achieved through the Internet popularity and also came in clubs with a positive response, the song was presented to the American radio stations. The single reached # 3 in the sometimes American Billboard charts, and reached both in Germany and in Switzerland, the top 20 in the singles charts. On 8 August 2006 finally appeared with Cassie 's debut album in the U.S., UK and Australian record stores. In November 2006, followed by Long Way 2 Go is the second single from the album.

Currently, the singer is working on new material for her yet untitled second studio album. Furthermore, it is first step as an actress in Step Up 2, sequel to the film success from 2006, in appearance. In the video of the song Stronger by Kanye West also plays a small role.

In July 2007 disproved the MTV News that Cassie had lost her recording contract with Bad Boy Records. Diddy confirmed that she worked with Kanye West and Pharrell Williams on her second studio album, the first of the title Connecticut Fever wore and was later renamed Electro Love. The album has been postponed several times since the pre - Singles Official Girl featuring Lil Wayne, Must Be Love featuring Diddy and Let's Get Crazy featuring Akon flopped all. In December 2009, Cassie signed a recording contract with Interscope Records and told in Bust Magazine that she had already received fifty songs for their second studio album. Cassie appeared in the music video for Wiz Khalifa Roll Up Single.

Early 2012 should appear with the title King of Hearts her second studio album finally. The same pre-release single was released on 14 February 2012 and was, despite a positive response from critics, again no success for Cassie. Another single called " Balcony" featuring Young Jeezy, which appeared in September 2012, was also hardly observed. One of Cassie's song titled " Money on Love" was re-recorded by Nicki Minaj as The Boys and as a single from the re-release of her album Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded decoupled. Cassie appeared on the Nicki Minaj version as a feature act. In a letter to her fans Cassie had announced that they currently working on her second studio album and on a mixtape that will appear with the title "# RockaByeBaby " on 11 April 2013. Their album is currently untitled work again.
